(3) Hiram Welton, Bristol, Conn., 30 hour, time and alarm empty OG case, c1840. (4) Waterbury Clock Co., Waterbury, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike, spring brass movement miniature OG shelf clock, c1870. (5) Seth Thomas Clock Co., Plymouth Hollow Hollow, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike, spring brass movement miniature round band shelf clock, c1860. (6) Waterbury Clock Co., Waterbury, Conn., 30 hour, time, strike and alarm spring brass movement miniature OG shelf clock, c1870. (7) Empty, miniature OG shelf clock.
CONDITION:
(1) Mahogany veneered case in original finish has some loss on the outer band and on the left side. Original dial is stained, has scattered loss and inpainting. Period mismatched hands. Original tablet has minor loss. Verge, label, gong and gong base are missing. Movement is signed; (2) Mahogany veneered case in original finish has veneer loss on the outer band. Original painted dial has age darkened and is soiled. Original hands and tablet. Dark stained label inside. (3) Mahogany veneered case, no finish, with veneer loss on the outer band. Tablet is period and looks to be original. Case originally held a time and alarm weight brass movement invented by S. B. Terry. Clean, but stained label inside. (4) Refinished rosewood veneered case in nice condition. Original painted dial has some scattered paint loss. Original hands and tablet. Dark label inside. (5) Mahogany veneered case in an old finish has small damage to upper corner outer band. Original painted dial has scattered loss. Mismatch period hands. A nice original Fenn tablet. A very dark label inside. Extra pair of ST hands included. (6) Mahogany and rosewood veneered case in original finish has veneer loss on the outer band and the door bottom. Original painted dial has scattered loss on the edges and at the winding arbors. Original hands. Bottom glass now clear. (7) Mahogany veneered case in an old finish has loss on the outer band. Original tablet has some scattered loss. There is no label, but may have been another Hiram Welton as the case is the same size as item no 3.
